These two products are the absolute gold standard and must-have’s for dry skin !
Ceramides are one of THE most effective types of moisturizers, acting to increase hydration levels and replace naturally-occurring lipids in the skin. Two of the best ceramide products around both come from Elizabeth Arden:
If you have dry, tight or sensitive skin, this product will deliver immediate relief and will not irritate since it is 100% PRESERVATIVE AND FRAGRANCE FREE !!!
You twist open a capsule and out comes a suuuuuper silky, lightweight oil serum. Give it a minute and your skin drinks it in. You’ll love the feel of your skin after application.
The capsules are ultra convenient for traveling – I usually don’t even use a whole capsule on my face so the jar lasts me longer than 60 days.
Elizabeth Arden no longer has this product on their website – they now have Ceramide Gold Capsules, which I have not tried, but this original product can be found online at beauty sites.
TIP: You can also find this on store shelves. Be on the look-out to snag this up at TJ MAXX and MARSHALLS (HOME GOODS) for an amazing prize of $19.99!
TIP x2: One of my favorite things to do is cleanse my face, exfoliate then let my skin drink up the ceramide capsule! Luxurious!
INGREDIENTS: Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Squalane, Isostearic Acid, Sphingolipids, Ceramide 6, Retinyl Linoleate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Borage (Borago Officinalis) Seed Oil (Borago Officinalis), Hexadecanolide
SUPER HYDRATING and a moisture-magnet (literally, it binds moisture to your skin due to its moisture-binding polymers). Again, incredibly silky feel. Elizabeth Arden’s website says this product “Boost skin's hydration level over 450% after one hour.” Go back and re-read that last sentence again. 450 Percent! I can’t rave enough about that!
As if that isn’t enough, the HCA ingredient (part of an advanced Alpha-Hydroxy Complex) helps in reducing fine lines as it gently improves exfoliation.
So if you don’t like the little capsule form, get your ceramides in a light-weight cream, but GET your ceramides!
